I got your back peeps. Hard boiled eggs can be such a pain to peel. Half the time I end up wasting a huge chunk of the egg because it stuck to the shell. My kids love eggs but hate the peeling part so that means if I don't do it for them, they don't eat them. Lazy!

Using your Instant Pot is the simplest way to make one dozen Easy Peel Hard Boiled Eggs. If you don't have an Instant Pot yet, you are going to want to get one. It's my new best friend in the kitchen and I am so excited to wake up and use it every day. It can make the moistest chicken ever!

It basically does the job of your slow cooker, rice steamer, yogurt maker, steamer, saute pan and pressure cooker all in one. I repeat... you are going to want an Instant Pot.

Each week I use it for meal prep including these Easy Peel Hard Boiled Eggs, quinoa and chicken for my salads. I also make these Paleo Quiche Cupsand Bacon and Egg Cups for Sunday meal prep.

How to make Easy Peel Hard Boiled Eggs...

  • Put one dozen eggs on the rack in your Instant Pot and add 1 cup of cold water.
  • If you don't have a rack for your instant pot use a steamer basket.
  • Lock the lid on and set your Instant Pot to 6 minutes on manual.
  • When it's done, set the timer for 5 minutes and let the steam release naturally
  • After the 5 minutes is up, you can release the remaining steam manually by turning the dial on top (make sure to use a dish towel so you don't burn yourself)
  • Immediately place the eggs in a large bowl filled with ice water
  • Store the hard-boiled eggs in the fridge for up to one week. I put them back in the egg container and write hard-boiled on top.

It's that simple! Meal prep can make a huge difference in your health and your general attitude (less stress about what to eat!) I know that when I have healthy food prepped for me in the fridge I don't reach for the bad stuff. It takes time and planning but it's so worth it.

I have a T-Fal multi-pot and love that it has a button I can push to release the steam. I made the pork for carnitas in it and another batch of pork for bbq pulled pork sandwiches last week. I love that it cooks SO fast and still gives you the tenderness that slow cooking for hours does.

Peeling eggs is easily the worst part of hard boiled eggs! I'm still resisting the Instant Pot, have way too many kitchen gadgets as it is!

I know I felt the same as you and I had to get rid of a few to accommodate the Instant Pot!

Thanks for the reminder, need to make hardboiilded eggs for tomorrow and love the idea of having the tips for easy peeling. Usually forget to put them in cold water.

I HATE peeling eggs!! Love all the recipes that use them. I don't have an instant pot...but I do have a pressure cooker. Not sure if that would work or not. Great tip.

You have saved my life! I LOVE hard boiled eggs but I've never cracked the code to make them peel easily. Usually I just get frustrated and Hulk-smash them, haha. Thanks for this!

This is a game changer!! We eat a ton of boiled eggs since starting keto. I’ve tried every method out there. Vinegars did baking soda in the water, baking them in the over, and many others. I always struggled with the peeling of the eggs. So, when I saw this recipe I was sure it wouldn’t work. Boy was I surprised!! The shells literally fall off!! I will never boil eggs again!! Thank you for this recipe 😊
