Almost every tiny house layout you will come across features the lofts serving as either bedrooms or storage spaces, with the kitchen on the ground floor.

But one exceptional house is the 8’ x 26’ “The Loft” by Incredible Tiny Homes.

Here you can see the stunning exterior of this tiny home, complete with a huge awning, which could provide shelter for a sizable porch. To the right of the awning, you can behold the distinctive window of the loft. Its unusual shape adds interest to the appearance of the home and hints at what is inside.

The builder decided to make this loft feel as spacious, airy, and open as possible. To that end, there is no railing between it and the main section of the home. The Oregon Cottage Company constructed the Ynez tiny house as a custom model for a customer.

While the customer wanted a quaint little house, and got one, she was concerned about the loft feeling small and cramped. So, to grant her request, the builder constructed a unique, spacious loft.

This photo taken from that loft does well to emphasize how roomy it appears. This seems to have been accomplished both through the pitch of the ceiling immediately over the loft and the contrast with the more pronounced pitch of the ceiling across the way. This makes it seem as if the loft “opens up” inside.

The house measures just 20’, but you can tell just from looking at the exterior that it offers a significant amount of vertical space. As you’ll see, that means plenty of room up in the loft.

12. Two Enormous Private Lofts in One Breathtaking Tiny House

The Carpathian tiny house by Tiny Idahomes features some exquisite design flourishes together with a smart floor plan featuring not one, but two huge lofts.

One of the two lofts, not pictured here, is accessible via a short flight of steps, and is more of a “split level.” The one we are looking at is the master loft, reached via a higher flight of stairs with an ornate railing. As you can see, the stairs appear to lead “nowhere,” but this is only because the same beautiful wood panels which were used to make the wall of the loft also make up the hidden door. That means complete privacy for the occupant and an elegant look from the main living space.

Here is what it looks like inside the master bedroom. The curved shape of the ceiling and the contrast between the black trim and the white walls make for a stunning space, refined in its simplicity.

The same black trim is repeated across from the bed at the foot, as are the bedside reading lamps (a second pair hangs to either side of the closet). The closet itself is accessible via its large sliding doors, painted the same color as the trim. It fills most of the wall, so it offers a huge amount of storage space.

As a contrast with some of the larger lofts I have been showing off in this post, I want to show you a really quaint, cozy loft where you can snuggle in for the night.

This beautiful modern tiny house is the “Saule” by the Canadian builder Minimaliste. The house features a simple cube shape, and you can see at a glance that it offers a lot of vertical space, perfect for including a loft. Ignoring the loft, the home features 235 square feet of space, but with the loft included, it offers 260 square feet of space.

A low wall serves as a partial partition between the loft and the rest of the home, leaving an open view between each. As you can see, the loft itself is tiny, but looks super comfortable! Open shelves spanning the wall at the foot of the bed offer storage space without making the space feel cramped, while a large window on the right brings in fresh air and sunlight.

14. LoTR-Themed Tiny House

If you enjoy The Lord of the Rings and fantasy artwork, you will want to check out the amazing crafts of Glen Michael Herbert, who customized his own tiny van conversion.

He has personalized seemingly every surface inside the home, bringing unique textures and bold, imaginative colors to the interior of his van. At the back of the van, you can see his small loft bed beyond the curtains.

The 28’ Chalet tiny house was crafted by Mini Mansions Tiny Home Builders.

The house has two lofts. The master loft is located up above the kitchen, while the secondary loft is located across from it on the opposite side of the house.

This photo was taken from the master loft, at the edge of the bed. It shows off how much open floor space is left available in the master loft, and gives you a view across the way to the secondary storage loft. Check out the gorgeous hardwood!

Let’s take a look at the Epic Modern Farmhouse by Tree Hugger Tiny Homes, a Canadian builder which does a lot of great work.

With its combination of Heron Blue steel siding and natural wood on the exterior, it immediately catches the eye.

The loft features a low ceiling and definitely falls into the “cozy” pile rather than the “spacious” pile, but there is still open floor space all around the large bed. On either side of the bed are small bedside tables, but what really makes this bedroom stunning are the wall-spanning windows. Now let’s check out another tiny home by Minimaliste which was custom-built for a client in California. The house is called the Noyer.

18. Cool Minimalist Layout Featuring Two Lofts

Minimaliste is a builder that sometimes very much lives up to its name. That is certainly the case with their minimalist design of the “Orme” tiny house.

The interior of the tiny house is distinctive and unusual, featuring contrasting black and wood tones and an emphasis on simple geometric forms. A set of steps leads up to one of the two lofts, while behind us, the secondary loft can be reached via a ladder.

Perhaps the most visually striking feature of the entire interior is the set of “railings” (I’m not even sure how to refer to them—partitions?) which screen off the secondary loft. The strips of black plywood reach clear from the floor of the loft up to the ceiling. Peering through the gap between them, we get a good visual overview of the layout of the entire home clear across to the loft on the opposite side.

19. Loft With Partition That Includes Built-In Storage

Let’s check out another tiny house by Minimaliste, this one commissioned by an Ontario couple. Minimaliste described the goal of the design as being a “very functional space while making sure they don’t feel boxed in their home.”

There are two lofts in the home. The master loft is accessible via a flight of steps, while the secondary loft can be reached by climbing a ladder. A minimalist, industrial-style railing fronts the secondary loft, while the master loft has a wall partition.

That wall partition is a standout feature because it pulls double duty as a custom storage area at the foot of the bed. As you can see, it consists of two closets and two sets of shelves and drawers. The materials are a perfect match for those used for the rest of the house.

20. Loft With Cool Lighted Flight of Stairs

The Blue Mountains Luxury Tiny House is a unique modern design that has been getting a lot of attention on social media lately.

The jet black exterior and minimalist design really stand out.

The interior is also visually striking. My favorite feature is not the loft, but rather the steps that lead up to it. The loft itself is pretty basic, but the illumination for each individual step is both aesthetically pleasing and an excellent safety feature for nighttime.

There is also a second loft across from this one on the opposite side of the house. You can reach it by walking along a narrow carpeted catwalk from the first loft. There is a railing spanning the entire catwalk so that it is safe and comfortable to traverse.

21. Tiny House With Two Lofts and the Most Beautiful Partition Ever

The next house I am going to show you was custom-built by its owners, Shane and Zeena. It is completely off-the-grid and self-sufficient. Needless to say, the story behind this house is an inspirational one, and there are a lot of exciting features.

Measuring 360 square feet, the home includes both a master bedroom loft and a nursery loft.

Storage steps lead up to the master loft. While basic, it is pretty spacious, with plenty of walking space on both sides of the bed and extra floor space at the foot of the bed. There are narrow windows spanning the walls to either side and behind the bed, bringing in light from all sides.

But the most amazing feature from a visual standpoint in this home is no doubt the beautiful artistic wood partition which partially screens off the smaller, lower loft that the couple used as an office before converting it into a nursery.

22. Beautiful in Blue

I will start with an exterior shot of this tiny house in Hawaii because it is absolutely adorable!

With its bright blue paint and white trim and the amazing round window, it stands out in an instant.

The blue color scheme continues in the loft bedroom, where the back wall is painted light blue to contrast with the white walls and ceiling. Bedside tables are built-in, and overhead reading lamps can be adjusted as needed. Windows to either side let in sunlight and views.

The bed itself has been custom-made for this home, with the base at the foot of the bed painted the same blue as the back wall. Along the side are storage drawers to ensure that no space in the bedroom goes to waste.

23. Rustic Tiny Cabin with Huge Loft

In these photos, you can see a rustic tiny cabin as decorated by its owners which were designed by Alabama Custom Cabins.

Alabama Custom Cabins writes, “We visited the Oakes cabin yesterday. Ms. Robin has decorated their cabin very nicely. The narrow window in the living has a beautiful tree behind it on the outside (looks like a picture when viewing through the cabin).”

As you can see, the home features amazing rustic vibes. Located above the kitchen is a large loft. As there is a downstairs bedroom as well as a downstairs sitting area, I’m not sure what the loft is currently being used for. Unfortunately, there are no closer photos of it. But you can tell just from this one that it offers a lot of extra living space which could be put to just about any use you could imagine.

24. Rose Bud Tiny House

This tiny house is an amazing custom build by Elite Tiny Homes.

Called “Rose Bud,” it has a rustic exterior and interior and features amazing woodwork.

As you can see, the loft in this house is small, reached by climbing a ladder in the kitchen. Nothing partitions it off from the kitchen, and it is essentially part of one integrated living space. But being as you would sleep surrounded by gorgeous wood on all sides, I can’t see why you would want to partition off this loft at all. It is much better to be able to admire the entire home from your sleeping space.

25. Lost Lake Resort Park Model

In all fairness, this next house located at Lost Lake Resort is not exactly tiny being it features multiple buildings as well as an elaborate outdoor living space. Nevertheless, its layout is essentially what you’d expect from a tiny house, albeit an extremely luxurious one.

You can appreciate the familiarity of the layout from this shot of the kitchen and the stairs that lead up to the loft. A full-length mirror on the way up the stairs offers you the convenience of being able to check your appearance on your way to or from the loft. Along with the loft bedroom, the home also features a downstairs bedroom.

The ceiling is low in the loft, but somehow it doesn’t feel that way. This could be because of the shape of the ceiling as well as the placement of the lamp directly under the highest part of the ceiling. The light naturally draws the eye to that point, emphasizing where the ceiling is at its highest and increasing the sense of space.

The loft bedroom also feels luxurious because of the inclusion of a traditional bed as well as some beautiful furnishings. In particular, the wood bookshelf (which looks to be holding Blu-Ray discs right now) stands out. A long window lines the wall next to the bed, offering views of the resort.

Here is a look at the bedroom loft in this tiny house. Immediately, it impresses you with its cozy look. Even with the large bed, there is plenty of storage space and floor space available. In fact, you might think that the cabinets you see directly next to the bed are more than adequate. But it turns out they don’t have to be because there is extra hidden storage concealed under the floorboards.

The compartments look to be pretty shallow, but they do exist, and they would be perfect for storing relatively small or flat items (i.e. your rolled-up socks). It is a clever feature, and not one which I have seen in a lot of other tiny house loft bedrooms.

There is a stunning tiny house retreat located at Ardcath near Dublin called, “Crows’ Hermitage.

When I spotted this 384-square-foot tiny house for sale in South Carolina, it was only $55,000.

As you can see, it is a beautiful house in great condition. Adding to be usable for space are two lofts which each measure an impressive 8’ x 10’.

Here, you can get a look at the master bedroom loft which features beautiful and unique textures with a brick wall in back and wood overhead. Remember, the other loft is just as spacious as this one, and could accommodate a bed the same size if needed.

33. A Cozy Loft in an Energy-Efficient Home

If one of the appeals of tiny living for you is the chance to reduce your energy footprint, you will probably like this house which was posted for sale in Signal Mountain, Tennessee.

It features a cedar siding and a green metal roof along with a small, sheltered porch. Impressively, even with the air conditioner running 24/7, the owner of the home listing it for sale reported that his highest electric bill for a month which was $20.

The house features a cozy loft with just enough room to accommodate a large bed. It shares the same rustic appearance as the rest of the home and is brightened by the addition of cute red curtains.

34. 430-Square-Foot Home With a Massive Loft

The Nimbus by Simblissity is a 430-square-foot home, making it one of the larger tiny houses on our list. It features a huge loft, but it is also handicap-accessible on the ground floor.

The builder writes, “This home was built with the special needs of a family member in mind. These features include extra width for wheelchair access, ground floor bedroom, steel loft supports for metal track/sling installation from bed to bathroom, and large shower with room for a portable bathtub.”

That seriously has to be one of the most enormous tiny house lofts I think I have seen. I am assuming we are getting a pretty good feeling for size by looking at those benches ( I think they are benches?). It would be great to see a shot that includes a bed to get an even better sense of the scale. Either way, it looks like you would have amazing flexibility with configuring this space to your needs.

35. The Serenitas

A truly tiny house is the Serenitas by Incredible Tiny Homes. Measuring 8’ x 18’, it contains only 144 square feet of space.

Nevertheless, this little house has been well-designed, making 144 square feet surprisingly spacious and functional.

Here is the adorable little loft. It has literally just enough room to accommodate the bed. The colorful bedspread and curtain complement each other well and lend the loft a cheerful vibe. There isn’t enough room for bedside tables, so instead there are shelves located in each corner up above.

36. The Valhalla

SimBLISSity’s 344-square-foot Valhalla tiny home is a breathtaking tiny house which includes two lofts.

The living room features some eclectic touches including colorful cushions and pillows on the couch and ornate décor above where one of the lofts is situated. There is a small table/desk under one of the windows which can likely be collapsed out of the way when it is not needed.

Atop the short flight of storage steps leading to the loft, there is a landing which features a really cool artistic shelf with unusually shaped cubbies to display décor.

Climbing up into that loft, you can admire the impressive amount of storage space available! The back wall includes a closet on the left, several long shelves in the middle, and the decorative shelves you saw from below.

Given the low price, you may be surprised to discover that the interior is just as nice as the exterior.

In fact, here it is, complete with a spacious loft and a corrugated metal ceiling. What a sweet deal!

38. Loft With Amazing Flip-Around TV

If you appreciate tiny houses with amazing modern conveniences, you will love this 240-square-foot domicile which was posted for sale in Oklahoma.

In the kitchen, you can see the ladder which leads to the loft. If you look up where the railing is, you see a TV that is currently facing the main living area and serving as a partial barrier between the bedroom and the rest of the house.

From the bedroom loft, it is possible to flip the TV around so that it is now facing the bed! You can also appreciate from this angle just how open and roomy the loft feels with those huge wall-spanning windows to either side!

39. Tiny Idahomes Tiny House With Two Huge Lofts

Now I want to show you a Tiny Idahomes house which includes two huge, airy lofts.

First up is the master loft containing a large bed with the headboard also serving as a shelf and barrier. The low partition leaves the loft wide open otherwise to the rest of the home, making it feel like an airy perch. Light and views come in through large windows and skylights. So, even with the low ceiling, it feels amazingly accommodating.

The second loft, which you see here, currently has a couch that looks like it can be expanded into a large bed. So, this can serve as a second bedroom, complete with another partition offering shelf space and large windows to bring in natural light.

You could also use it as a sitting room, entertainment room, study, or some other type of room.

The house features a huge, sheltered porch, which welcomes you to a spacious and luxurious interior.

Inside the house, there are beautiful hardwood floors, a huge kitchen, and on top of that, a spacious loft which you can reach via a flight of steps. Even with the large kitchen, the builder has still found room for a roomy seating area as well.

If you’re looking to save money on a tiny house and you are up for living in an abode which is truly tiny, I highly recommend taking a look at everything that Incredible Tiny Homes has to offer.

Here is their 160-square-foot Rookwood Home. It is a cozy little house that is perfect for one or two people.

Like many other tiny houses by this builder, this little cottage essentially has a single combined living space. You can access the cute little loft from the kitchen using a ladder in front of the bathroom.

If you like tiny houses that feature a modern style, I think you are going to fall in love with this tiny house by Eco Cabins. At the time that I found it, it was listed for sale for a shockingly low $30,000.

The interior features a minimalist style and the walls are full of windows. The loft, like the rest of the home, is simple. Only a minimal railing is present, so there is a seamless flow of space between the loft and the rest of the house.

Originally, I was going to share another photo of the loft, but I decided to share the exterior instead. That way, you can check out the huge sliding glass doors which take up a significant section of one of the walls. You can imagine just how much natural light is in this house and what a wide-open feeling it would have.

The entire house includes eclectic, unique design features that complement the owner’s personality. But the loft is one of the most impressive features of the home. The pitch of the ceiling along with the large, round mirror behind the bed does a great job making the loft feel larger than it really is. Large windows to either side of the bed along with a skylight above bring lots of natural light into the sleeping area.

45. Comfortable Living in Just 128 Square Feet

Incredible Tiny Homes is a builder that impresses me consistently with their surprisingly functional tiny house layouts with incredibly small footprints. This particular house measures only 128 square feet.

There are two lofts in the house. One of them is a very small storage loft. The other is a bedroom loft which is surprisingly roomy.

If you go back and look at the exterior photo, you can understand how so much clearance as possible. Even though the house is tiny, it features a lot of vertical space.

46. The Riverbend Tiny House

Next on our list is another home from Incredible Tiny Homes. This one is called the Riverbend Cottage.

It is an adorable tiny house measuring just 180 square feet designed for a cat owner.

I’m not sure why the final step that leads to the loft is such a big one. Anyway, the loft itself looks amazing! The builder has found room for a full traditional dresser next to the bed.

47. Loft With a View

If you like the idea of having an incredible view of both your home’s interior and the scenery outside, you are going to adore the Riversong Lodge and its amazing loft.

While the house features rustic materials on the exterior, including a combination of wood and red metal siding, it has a decidedly modern look about it with huge glass windows.

There are two lofts in the house. The larger of the two is the bedroom loft. But I have decided to show you the loft across from it instead. The bedroom loft is fairly standard, but this small upstairs seating area is definitely unique. The huge window spans almost the entirety of the back wall in the loft, offering incredible views outside. It is also wide open to the spacious interior.

This next tiny house is a design by Hawk Tiny Homes, Inc. it has a classic interior and a modern exterior and features a small loft on either end.

As you can see, the bedroom loft is extremely minimal, offering just enough space to lie down. But it does have large windows on both sides to bring in the light.

49. Low Loft/Split Level

Here’s a tiny house that I found for sale in Austin for $40,000.

With some tiny houses, the loft is located so low that it is hard to say whether to call it a “loft” or whether to simply say the home features a split level design.

There are only three steps you need to walk up to get to the loft. A partition largely divides it off from the main living space while still leaving it slightly open and also providing a space for the TV.

50. The Dandelion Tiny House

One of Incredible Tiny Homes’ larger models is the Dandelion Tiny House. Measuring 8’x 26’, its listed features include, “2 sofa beds with storage, upstairs sleeping loft, pet loft, plenty of storage space, and many other custom features.”

That’s right! This tiny house includes an entire loft just for pets. Of course, you could repurpose it for storage or any other use if you do not have pets. But since it includes a narrow catwalk along the wall which leads back to the main loft, it is particularly ideal for cats.

The sleeping loft is spacious and beautifully decorated.

The Atlas is a particularly well-known tiny house that was featured on the show Tiny House Big Living on HGTV.

The home features a modern design, with almost the entirety of one wall given over to glass windows and doors.

The interior features beautiful, functional minimalism in every aspect, including the loft, which hovers just about the kitchen like a cozy nest.

Another tiny house which features a loft that is left wide open to the rest of the interior is the Ranch House by Incredible Tiny Homes.

The exterior is beautifully rustic, as is the interior.

The loft above the bathroom gives the occupant a phenomenal view of the rest of the interior as well as amazing views through the big window of the scenery outside.

53. The Coyote Cabin

This tiny house, dubbed the Coyote Cabin, is a design by Incredible Tiny Homes. The exterior features a satisfying mixture of colors and materials, including both wood and metal siding. But the interior boasts some nice surprises as well, including a beautiful loft.

More specifically, it is the railing of the loft which catches the eye upon stepping inside the Coyote Cabin. It is arguably the home’s artistic centerpiece. With its chevron design and unusual colors, it adds great interest to the interior and some contrast with the surrounding walls.

There is a second loft across the way which features a railing which is similar in style, yet distinct from this one. While both lofts feature low ceilings, their designs feel open, probably because the railings are only a minimum separation between the lofts and the main living space.

The Gray Haven by Incredible Tiny Homes is an intriguing house that features a step-down living room. The entire house measures 252 ft.².

The cozy little loft is perched like a nest above the kitchen. You can reach it by climbing a ladder.

While the loft is only large enough to provide you with a spot to rest your head, it is largely open to the rest of the home thanks to the minimal obstruction of the railing with its wrought iron bars. These also offer a subtle decorative effect.

If you like lofts that are low and similar to a split level, you may like the Santa Fe tiny house by SimBLISSity, which was designed for a retired couple with a toddler.

Standing in the kitchen, we are looking toward the small seating area and the short flight of storage steps which lead up to the lower of the two lofts. As you can see, it is largely screened off from the main living area by the wall backing the seating area, offering a relatively private zone.

Nevertheless, even though it does not take many steps to reach that lower loft, you can see that it is still raised substantially above the floor level. From here, you also can get a nice view of the more traditional high loft across the way which is located above the kitchen. In order to keep that high loft feeling open and spacious, it has not been enclosed off from the rest of the home.

56. The Bluegrass Beauty

The Bluegrass Beauty by Incredible Tiny Homes is a cute little house that features two small lofts, one of which includes a lovely and unique personal touch.

The smaller of the two lofts are located above the seating area and offers room for storage or decor.

But it is the sleeping loft which is really amazing—because it features a one-of-a-kind stained-glass window in the back.

The small, round window features an image of a tree against a landscape of mountains.

57. Two Lofts and a Tiny Private Downstairs Bedroom

The next tiny house I want to share with you by Incredible Tiny Homes is their Sweet Dream model. The house measures a mere 8’ x 22’, yet the builder has managed to fit in two lofts and a downstairs bedroom without making the floor plan feel cramped. How is that possible? Let’s check it out.

The bathroom is located at one end of the house, with one of the two lofts above it. The bed takes up the entirety of the loft, so it is essentially just a small platform for sleeping over the bathroom.

The more atypical feature is the other small loft at the opposite end of the home, reached via a flight of stairs with open shelves located underneath them. Currently, this loft is set up to serve as a small seating area, but it is large enough to serve as a sleeping area as well.

The most noteworthy feature is what is located directly underneath this loft, which is, in fact, a tiny downstairs bedroom. There is a door to the bedroom, so it can be entirely sealed off from the main living space if desired for complete privacy.

This tiny house really demonstrates Incredible Tiny Homes’ capacity to create logical layouts which are once tiny and functional. This builder has a talent for packing in more features than most in a smaller square footage.

This 432 ft.² guesthouse is another beautiful design from Incredible Tiny Homes.

The house features a number of intriguing and unexpected design features. While the round windows stand out, what stands out even more is the exquisite natural wood railing around the spacious loft. Contrasting colors of wood make the railing stand out all the more while also drawing the eye to the trim around the windows and doors.

The natural texture of the bark has been preserved in the railing. From close up, you can get a better look at the texture as well as how much space is in the loft.

If you are in search of a tiny house that features a truly massive loft, you will want to take a look at the Beach View Tiny House by Pratt Homes.

From this photo which features the living room and kitchen, you can really get a feel for how spacious this house is, and you can appreciate the ample views and sunlight through the huge living room windows. If you look in the upper left corner, you can just glimpse the railing of the loft.

A set of carpeted stairs leads to up to the loft. As you can see, it is positively enormous with a huge amount of open floor space which you can use as you see fit. There’s carpeting up here as well, which is an interesting and unexpected choice for a tiny house, but not an unwelcome one. Even though hardwood and tile are in right now, a lot of people still enjoy the cozy and luxurious feeling of carpeting under their feet.

Incredible Tiny Homes named this tiny house “The Movie Star,” and gave it a more contemporary vibe than many of their more rustic homes. The house measures 8’ x 26’.

The house features two lofts, one of which has a seating area underneath it, forming its own separate room. If desired, that separate seating room could be converted into a bedroom, study, or other room.

At the moment, one of the lofts has a bed in it, while the other appears to have been left open for more or less any purpose. It is large enough that it also could work as a bedroom, or it too could serve as a seating room, study, or so forth. It also could be useful for extra storage. This builder does a great job incorporating versatility into its layouts, providing the freedom to use each separate space as desired.

What also stands out is the dividing wall between this loft and the main living area. It offers partial privacy while also providing storage space which could be used for practical or decorative purposes.

61. The Highland Tiny House

One of the most magical tiny houses you will ever see is the Highland Tiny House.

This little cottage measures 10’ x 24’, and is also the work of Incredible Tiny Homes. Describing it, the builder says, “This home features a Thatch Roof System, from Endureed Synthetic Thatch, Stucco, Cedar Shakes, and Board and Batten. It features a queen-size Murphy bed, stove, 10 cu. ft. refrigerator, half-moon sink, 36-inch shower, standard residential toilet, loft area that can be used for 2 bedrooms, office/1 bedroom, or 1 bedroom/storage.”

The loft is every bit as imaginative as the rest of the tiny house. Its natural wood railing exposed overhead beams, and rustic furnishings all serve to bring the theme of the house into the sleeping area. Even with a bed in place, there is lots of extra floor space.

63. Rustic Retreat for Under $30,000

When I found this tiny house, it was on sale at the time for less than $30,000, which is a pretty amazing deal for such a beautiful and unique home.

The live edge siding is immediately eye-catching, and together with the tin roof, creates a rustic effect.

The house features a very tiny downstairs bedroom and a very small loft, which you can climb into using a ladder from the kitchen. So, if tight and cozy are what you are after, a house like this would be a great fit for your needs.

The Carmel House is a design from a company called Seabreeze Tiny Homes.

The loft immediately grabs your attention when you step into the kitchen. You can tell at a glance that it is incredibly bright and roomy. Also nice is the fact that you can reach it by climbing a set of regular carpeted steps. The railing is effective, but also minimalist in appearance so as to leave the loft as wide open to the rest of the home as possible.

As you can see, this is one of the most spacious, airy, bright loft spaces you are going to find in any tiny house. There is an impressive amount of clearance, which also gives the windows less of a horizontal profile. This further accents the sense of vertical space while allowing even more light and views into the room. There is an ample amount of walking space around the bed and enough room that you could put some kind of storage at the foot of the bed if you wished.

65. The Expedition

When I first discovered this modern tiny house, it was on sale in Tipp City, OH.

Although the overall design of the house is modern, the materials, as you can see, are more rustic and character. Wood planks in different colors have a decorative effect on the stairs and railing of the bedroom loft. But this is actually one of two lofts in the house, and the other one is arguably more exciting than the first.

Here’s a view from that bedroom loft looking across to the opposite end of the house, where there is another small loft above the bathroom. This loft has been designated as a reading spot, complete with custom shelves built into the wall. A long, narrow window brings in natural light for comfortable reading. There is enough room up there that you could also feasibly sleep, although a railing would probably be welcome for that purpose.

Meanwhile, a set of custom cabinets along the side of the house offers nooks and storage areas for a variety of uses, with some additional storage space located along the top, where there is also another long, narrow window to bring in additional light.

Next, let’s check out the beautiful loft inside the Everest tiny house by Mustard Seed Tiny Homes. If this house looks familiar, it could be because you remember when it was featured on HGTV.

This photo shows off a downstairs bedroom, complete with a door you can close for total privacy. As the door is currently open, you can see through to the storage steps that lead up to the loft.

The loft features an angled ceiling with a window along with the larger of the walls. If you only needed the downstairs bedroom, you could instead convert this loft to serve a different purpose, maybe storage. It would also make a nice reading nook.

67. The Best Modern Tiny Home

The Best Modern Tiny Home is a breathtaking design by Park Model Homes.

Measuring 399 ft.², this house is on the larger side of tiny, but is still quite small compared to your typical full-size home. Nevertheless, it feels incredibly roomy inside, suffused with light.

Standing in the kitchen, we are looking at the entertainment center and living room. A set of stairs leads up behind the entertainment center to the loft above. I am a big fan of the way that the loft has been partitioned off from the rest of the home. It is very much its own room, but there are two little windows which look out over the main space. Left open, these provide a flow of space and a sense of openness. But if desired, one could always pull curtains or blinds over them for complete privacy and a full separation of space.

In fact, here’s what it looks like from up inside the loft. Directly ahead of us are the same two windows that we were looking at from the main living space. The railing on the right borders the staircase. As you can see, there is a stupendous amount of floor space up here, so the loft could easily accommodate a large bed and some additional furnishings.

70. The KoKo Head by Tiny Pacific Houses

The KoKo Head by Tiny Pacific Houses is a 300-square-foot tiny house which looks a lot larger on the inside than it does on the outside, and which features two lofts.

One of the lofts is at the top of the staircase and is located above a small sitting area next to the kitchen. It is the bedroom.

You climb a ladder to reach the second loft across the way. There is enough vertical clearance that right now, it is set up as a seating area, complete with comfortable chairs. If you preferred, you could convert it into a second sleeping area.

71. The Juniper

The Juniper by Mustard Seed Tiny Homes features a bold, modern design and a striking, distinctive color scheme.

This photo shows you one of the lofts inside the home, which is fronted by a little partition that also doubles as a set of shelves. The blue cabinets and stairs contrast with the white walls, creating a beautiful effect. Across the way, there is a smaller loft that you can reach using a ladder.

Wood planks inlaid in a chevron pattern and painted blue, white, and two shades of brown have an exquisite decorative effect in the bedroom loft and help to unify this space with the rest of the interior.

72. The Cypress

Another impressive design from Mustard Seed Tiny Homes is the Cypress, a home with a contemporary look and feel, but with some rustic accents.

The living room features an interesting combination of storage steps and a ladder which take you up to the loft, below which is a downstairs bedroom that you can reach through a sliding wood door. Artwork of aspen trees adorns the wall which partitions of the loft.

From here, you can see what the view is like from inside the loft, looking down into the main living space through the opening. This space is mostly private, but not entirely cut off. A large window brings in natural light, and the custom headboard for the bed includes some storage shelves.

73. The Zion

The Zion by Mustard Seed Tiny Homes stretches the definition of tiny just a little bit, measuring about 528 ft.². Even though the cut-off is usually considered to be 500 ft.², I would consider this to be well within range.

The house is large enough to incorporate a downstairs bedroom behind the kitchen. Next to the kitchen, a set of steps leads up to the loft. The horizontal bars of the railing contrast with the white all around great pleasing aesthetic effect.

At present, the master bedroom is downstairs, so there are a couple of twin beds up in the loft. But it could accommodate a single larger bed if that was your preference.

74. Canadian Tiny Homes Loft With a Skylight

This house was the first build by a father-daughter business in British Columbia called Canadian Tiny Homes. It measures 26’ by 8.5’.

A set of steps from the kitchen lead up to the loft. There is a lot of storage space underneath the steps. Looking up toward the loft, you can see the huge skylight positioned over the bed.

If not for the skylight, I imagine that this loft could easily feel cramped. But with the skylight, that is the last impression I get. Not only does the skylight keep the space well-illuminated, but it also opens the bed up to the sky, bringing in views of the stars after sundown. I would love to drift off to sleep up here!

75. The Ladybug

This tiny house this was built to stand up to intense weather conditions in Florida, making it a durable option for any part of the country.

The bedroom loft is small, but well lit from large windows on both sides as well as a set of skylights located directly overhead. As you can see, it has a stylish, modern look to it.

76. The Manor

Park Model Homes is a builder which has created a lot of magnificent tiny house layouts, one of which is dubbed The Manor.

The little house makes impressive use of its small square footage, and features a spacious loft.

It is amazing how many windows line the walls of this loft, bringing in natural illumination from all directions. Also, the entire loft is carpeted for warmth and comfort.

77. The Elmore

Movable Roots designed this spacious tiny house called The Elmore.

This tiny house features a beautiful exterior with bright colors. You can see from the outside that there are two spacious lofts. The house has a total of 500 ft.²

78. The Ascot

How do you live comfortably in just 167 ft.²? The Tiny House Building Company decided to take on that design challenge, and the result is a beautiful tiny house called the Ascot.

You can see that room is not lacking in the kitchen or downstairs seating area. One interesting feature is the unusual turn that the stairs take on the way up to the loft.

The loft itself features a low ceiling, but lots of floor space, and plenty of natural light.

79. The Crow

This tiny house is called The Crow, and was built by Blackbird Tiny Homes.

It features two lofts. The smaller one is reached with a ladder and is just large enough to serve as a cozy reading nook.

The master loft has room for a large bed and extra floor space.

80. The Gingered Swan

This last tiny house I will feature today is another accommodation where you can book a stay at Salvage Texas. It is called the Gingered Swan, and it is a work of art. It also is one of my all-time favorite tiny houses.

You can almost miss the steps which lead upstairs to the loft. They blend seamlessly into the rest of the interior. They provide storage space and also lend an artistic effect to the downstairs part of the accommodation.

This is a tall tiny house, so the upstairs is actually a second floor, more like an attic than a typical tiny house loft.
